Crockett & Jones Handgrade collection undoubtedly represents the very highest level of shoemaking art.<\/p>\n

The leather on the Handgrade shoes is vegetable tanned and largely handcrafted to get perfect hides. The lining in the shoes is of the same quality as the upper leather. All shoes are polished by hand to get an individual look and a wonderfully beautiful “depth”.<\/p>\n

The leather soles of a Crockett & Jones Handgrade is slowly tanned in oak bark. Tanning takes about a year. This provides superior durability and flexibility. The seam is hidden with so-called zipper closure, which means that you cut a notch in the sole which you then sew in. Afterwards you fold back the “lip” so that the seam is hidden and protected. Instead of a heel patch inside the shoe, there is a full cover sole of the same quality and color as the lining for absolute comfort.<\/p>\n
